Fast & Furious
Fast cars, bodacious broads and macho men! That is Fast & Furious in a nutshell! This is the best of the series with Vin Diesel returning along with Paul Walker who together make this a fabulously exciting movie. I am telling you that the first scene where they are hijacking a load of gasoline is worth the price of admission. I don’t know how they film such sequences without causing peril to the actors but film it they do and with such aplomb!
Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) is back to his old tricks of heists involving muscle cars and other feats of daring. He fears that the authorities are closing in on him and does not want his girlfriend and buddies to suffer because of his notoriety. He severs his relationship with them and goes it alone until he hears that his girlfriend has been killed by a ruthless drug dealer. He returns to learn as much as he can about her death and ultimately becomes involved with his exfriend and former almost bro-in-law, Brian O’Conner, who happens to be an FBI agent.
At this point it may be helpful if you are familiar with the prior movies. Don’t dispair if this isn’t the case because you can follow along anyway since this is not rocket science!
Together our boys manage to infiltrate the druggies organization and eventually bring them down! This does not happen before we get to enjoy lots of car chases and beefy he man encounters. Did I mention car chases? Well there are car chases after car chases and all are done with a realism that you can not imagine.
This is a movie with lots of action and adventure and quite a bit of character development. All in all it is fun to experience. There are some moments when the dialogue degenerates to the following: Brian O’Conner says “when we get this guy you walk out of this a free man” to which Dominic Toretto replies “That what they told you? You still put out milk and cookies for Santa Claus?”
